The Englishman

In The Englishman, Kelvin's arrogant assumption of power following his father's death sets off a chain of events as he locks down the family factory and plaza, evicting tenants and withholding wages from the ailing security guard, Mr. Jonah English. Mr. English is awarded the factory in recognition of his investment and loyalty, a move that stuns Kelvin, who erupts in rage and vows a legal battle. Grappling with the truth of his parentage, Dexter learns his father always loved him, and as he comes to terms with his new identity, he also opens his heart to Becky, taking her on their first date and assuring her that her father's job is secure. With Kelvin storming off defeated and Wendy accepting the outcome, the film closes on Dexter and Becky driving away together, their future bright, as Mr. English and his family look on with renewed hope.
