Storyline
Sandra works as an advertising executive at EMS, where she is running a high-stakes campaign for an automobile company. One morning during a jog she argues over the phone with a colleague and is nearly hit by a car, whose driver, Kennedy, yells at her. Kennedy turns out to be her new neighbor, and the awkward encounters that follow soften into friendship. He helps her refine the campaign by suggesting a variety of cars for different demographics, and their collaboration deepens over shared meals, where he tells Sandra he dreams of opening a restaurant and that he moved to care for his sick father. Their closeness grows into a kiss. Sandra's new closeness with Kennedy is tested when she receives an invitation to a couples event and goes to his apartment to ask him to accompany her. There she finds his girlfriend, Isioma, who is Sandra's former high school friend. Isioma later asks Sandra to persuade Kennedy to move back to Abuja, but Sandra refuses to pressure him to choose between Isioma and his ailing father. Kennedy confides that he may have been scammed in an oil well investment, and his arguments with Isioma grow over his friendship with Sandra and his unwillingness to accept her father's money. He ends the relationship. Furious and humiliated, Isioma uses her family's wealth and influence through Zeli Corporations to invest heavily in the agency where Sandra works, with the condition that Sandra be fired. Sandra loses her job and falls into despair. She seeks refuge with her family, where her mother and her cousin Odua try to console her, but she stays heartbroken over the loss of her job and the fractured relationship. In the aftermath, Sandra and Kennedy find their way back to each other. The final scenes show them at a restaurant, embracing and celebrating, their connection tested by jealousy, sabotage, and pride, Kennedy with his restaurant dreams and Sandra moving forward in her career.
