Storyline
Tamuno and Tari are inseparable in their fishing village, their days spent casting nets and selling catch beneath the Bayelsa sun. But restless ambition gnaws at Tamuno, who dreams of Lagos riches to return and marry Tari properly. Despite her tearful protests, he departs, promising calls that never come—his phone stolen during a police raid, landing him a month in custody, and when he finally reaches his mother, she lies that Tari has vanished. Meanwhile, Tari discovers she is pregnant; Tamuno's mother accuses her of trapping her son, and a miscarriage sends her fleeing the village, her heart shattered into salt and silence. Years later, fate collides them in a Lagos boardroom: both are now executives, their companies merging into one. Tari feigns ignorance, but her cold glare betrays the fury of a woman scorned. Her friend Shalom pushes her to confront her lingering pain, while Tamuno, learning of the pregnancy and miscarriage through his regretful mother, bombards her with apologies and explanations. On Tari's birthday, he delivers a gift and a raw apology; she finally admits her agony but agrees to listen, realizing his abandonment was never intentional. They reconcile, confessing love that survived the years. Their rekindled romance blooms through dinners and walks, but Tari's work trip to Abuja looms five days ahead. They part with tender kisses, Tamuno whispering how he'll miss her, Tari promising a swift return. The film ends with them embracing through the bus window as credits roll over Lagos's glittering skyline—a hopeful note, yet the shadow of past loss lingers like a tide that never truly retreats.
