EARLY LIFE
Thelma Umuneoma "Ummie" Nwosu was born the third child of her educationist parents Sunday Nwosu (a college instructor) and Josephine Nwosu (a secondary school principal). She hails from Elu-Obayi Ovim in Southeastern Nigeria. Her camera-comfortable traits started showing when she was in high school, starting with a lot of recorded singing and dance productions during school events. She read at the University of Port Harcourt Nigeria, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts majoring in Film Directing. She also has a diploma in Acting, Voice and Speech. As a student, she was also a member of dance troupes that performed at major theaters, government events, private functions, etc.

Thelma Nwosu is a film, TV, voice-over actress and model based in Lagos, Nigeria. As of September 2020, she has 26 years of professional experience in the Nollywood Industry. Her first professional experiences as an actress were in the 1994 movie "Frame Up" and the 1996 movie "Glamor Girls 2 - Italian Connection", both directed by Chika Onukwufor. She has worked alongside numerous well-known Nollywood figures in various lead and supporting roles, including Funke Akindele-Bello, Patience Ozokwor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Kehinde Bankole, Keji Yusuf, Zack Orji, Jide Kosoko, Mike Ezuruonye, Joseph Benjamin, Rita Dominic, Ngozi Ezeonu, Kanayo Kanayo, Victor Olaotan, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, Sola Sobowale, Genevive Nnaji, Ramsey Noah, Jackie Appiah, Van Vicker, Stephanie Okereke, etc.
