Snatched

In Snatched, Onyinye greets Sunny each morning, but he ignores her. She visits a prophetess crying that a 'yellow woman' has taken her husband, but Sunny says he no longer wants her, accusing her of childlessness after six years. He orders her out, so she moves in with her Aunty, who urges her to fight for the marriage. Onyinye confesses they shared a night before the eviction, discovers she is pregnant, and Sunny rejects the pregnancy. She raises son Dike with her Aunty's help, starts a fruit business, then a restaurant, and flourishes over six years. Sunny, meanwhile, has married Tina, and their marriage is full of conflict. He wanders into Onyinye's restaurant, unknowingly befriends Dike, and Onyinye furiously bans him. After learning Dike is his biological son, a desperate Sunny begs friend Ekene for help, and they approach an elder woman, but she throws pepper in his eyes. Tina grows insanely jealous of the connection and hires two men to kill Onyinye, yet the men refuse because Onyinye once saved one of their mothers. In an unfinished building, Tina confronts Onyinye, who reveals she knows the plot. She says she gave up on Sunny six years ago, warning them to stay away from her and her son. Onyinye leaves with her head held high. Sunny kneels in despair, begging for another chance. She has told Dike the truth about his father but chooses not to rekindle. She embraces a new man introduced earlier, and Dike runs into his arms. Sunny watches from a distance, and the film closes with Onyinye, Dike, and her new love walking away together.
