Price Of Love

Kelechi marries Obinna Okafor in a deal his mother orchestrated to pay for her brother Kalu's kidney transplant. On their wedding night, Obinna discovers Kelechi is a virgin and refuses to consummate, frustrated by her silence. The next morning, Obinna's mother Uloma welcomes Kelechi but is unaware of her architectural background; Obinna dismisses her as an uneducated village girl and forbids her from working. While managing her brother's shop and cooking for the household, Kelechi meets house manager Peace, who notes she is unlike Obinna's typical girlfriends. He admits to Kelechi that he is falling in love and gives her freedom to leave, but she stays after securing the job. They begin to bond; Obinna stops drinking heavily when he learns about Kelechi's family history of alcoholism-related deaths. His withdrawal symptoms land him in bed, where she cares for him. He confesses he quit for her, and she says 'I love you'; Obinna insists on saying it first and declares his love, leading to a kiss. They reconcile and start anew: Obinna takes Kelechi on dates and treats her as an equal. She accepts the job at Milan Designs, working alongside Teju. The couple ends up in bed laughing and cuddling, having overcome their transactional beginning. Obinna gives away his alcohol collection to Teju, symbolizing his commitment. Kelechi's brother recovers, and she reflects that her sacrifice was worth it.
