No One Has To Know

In No One Has To Know, Amara Okojie, a pastor's wife and an advocate against domestic violence, wakes from a nightmare in which she is drowned in a bathtub. Her husband David comforts her, and she gives a radio interview about ending violence against women. David sets up a romantic dinner at home, but his affection turns aggressive. She pushes him away, and at dinner with Pastor Emmanuel and his wife Hilda, Amara notices signs that Hilda is being abused. David tells her to leave it. David confronts Emmanuel about abusing Hilda and suspends him from church duties. Emmanuel threatens him. Kunle, the man who raped Amara in the past, reappears and gets into a physical fight with David. A video of the fight circulates online, and the church board asks David to step aside. He refuses. A sign reading 'Sinners Live Here' appears at their gate. Amara reveals during an argument with David that Kunle raped her, and David disappears after a late-night phone call from Emmanuel. Police begin investigating. They question Amara, and she tells them about Kunle. The police question Kunle and Emmanuel. With police listening in, Amara visits Kunle's house to get him to confess. He attempts to rape her, so the police arrest him. A flashback shows David forcing himself on Amara before their wedding, begging her not to tell anyone. Amara confronts David about abusing their daughter. She repeats his words, 'No one has to know,' and stabs him to death. Amara drags David's body into a plastic bag and sends a text asking a man to come to her house. He arrives, and she invites him in. They embrace. After he leaves to get a bag, she pulls a blood-stained cloth from it, a clear sign that he is now part of the cover-up.
