Storyline
Timeyin recalls her mother's advice to put her creative gift first and choose herself above anyone else. At Pose Magazine, editor-in-chief Victoria encourages Timeyin about a promotion, says she deserves the job, and promises to recommend her. Timeyin celebrates with her friends Uyi and Sam, and in a restroom she meets a young man named Ayo, who apologises for barging in and introduces himself. The next morning Victoria announces that Ayo has been brought in as the new fashion director, the son of Dame Fashakin, the board chairwoman, with the appointment coming from the top. Timeyin realises the promotion has slipped away and is devastated. Victoria advises her to deliberately frustrate Ayo until he quits, and though Timeyin rejects the idea at first, her friends encourage her to sabotage him. Ayo offers an equal partnership, but Timeyin harshly refuses, then returns with a peace offering and agrees to work together. Their creative visions clash during Fashion Week planning, and when a top designer dismisses Ayo's bold proposal, the pressure mounts. Timeyin's estranged father reappears and asks for money, and she coldly sends him away. Timeyin becomes convinced that Ayo sent an email to HR to get her fired, and she confronts him. Ayo insists he sent a recommendation and explains that he saw her dream journal and knew she deserved the position. Timeyin is stunned and realises her mistake. Shortly after, Ayo sends word that he is leaving the company to pursue his own business in the UK, and he formally recommends Timeyin to take over as fashion director. Timeyin's father returns and confesses he may have cancer, and the two reconcile in an emotional embrace. Ayo's formal recommendation secures Timeyin the fashion director role. Determined to make things right, Timeyin tracks him down at the office and presents a thoughtful gallery of apologies, tells him how much their friendship meant, and admits she was wrong.
