Storyline

Tana marries Pastor Obiora, but church rules govern their life. In Loving The Saint, he demands a modest wife. At a function she says he made her feel unimportant by not holding her waist for photos, and his answer does not ease her hurt. He prays for long stretches, rejects a bedroom idea as ungodly, and allows only the missionary position. He praises her modest dresses as grace, and she feels forced to look old for his image. When he ignores her work for online ministry and announces that 500 people joined the session, she confronts him and stops attending church. Romantic gestures fail. Calling him sugar earns an order to say pastor, a birthday love letter comes back as scripture, and a nightgown earns her the names prostitute and whore. He bans dancing to worldly music and blocks professional dress, so client Mr Eric mocks her as a church beggar and refuses to do business. Old friend Bright finds her a job, but a prayer meeting interrupts the interview and she loses it. Obiora spies on Tana and Bright, hides in her car, shouts that he has caught her with her boyfriend, and confronts Bright as an agent of darkness. In a bitter argument Tana calls Obiora a worn slipper, not a crown, and when he asks if she means divorce, she says his first guess is the answer. Pastor James leaks the couple's troubles, and Obiora learns James stole church funds. Members leave and scandal hits the ministry. Obiora begs Tana to pray, but she says it is no longer 'we' but 'you' and 'me'. A friend advises her to stand by her husband and shape him, and she agrees to think. Obiora apologizes, says his father addressed his own wife as Mommy and banned dancing, parties, and romance, and he wants to unlearn. Tana names the husband she wants, they hug, and he starts reading about romance. When Bright visits, Obiora learns Bright is Tana's second cousin, and the jealousy and photo stunts were her way of making him appreciate her.
