Aduke runs a successful restaurant called Let's Feast and is engaged to Craig though his mother initially disapproved of the match. Her ex-fiancé Nnamdi returns from Cotonou where he has built wealth through import-export and his persistent presence creates immediate tension. He showers Aduke with expensive gifts including a twenty-four karat gold necklace from Saudi Arabia. Aduke's protective cousin Sharon warns her about the optics of entertaining an ex-fiancé. Craig's mother begins warming to Aduke after observing her respectful demeanor. Nnamdi proposes a lucrative hotel kitchen contract that requires Aduke to meet his friend at a hotel and he accompanies her to the business meeting unaware of the trap being set. Craig receives an anonymous tip about the rendezvous and arrives unexpectedly at the hotel. He finds Aduke and Nnamdi together and suffers a health collapse that lands him in the hospital. When Aduke attempts to visit Craig violently rejects her and accuses her of betrayal forbidding her from his ward. The truth emerges that Yvonne Craig's vengeful ex-girlfriend orchestrated the entire setup. She manipulated Nnamdi into luring Aduke to the hotel and separately hired a driver to run Craig down with a car framing the incident as an accident. The truth surfaces during a volatile confrontation at Craig's house where Nnamdi realizing he has been played produces a damning voice recording of Yvonne coaching him on how to execute the hotel trap. A detective arrives with forensic evidence from the hotel CCTV that traces the getaway car to its owner leading to Yvonne's immediate arrest for attempted murder. Her accomplice is also identified and Craig's mother who had been sympathetic to Yvonne turns on her in outrage. The revelation forces Craig to reconsider the narrative he believed though trust remains fractured between him and Aduke. Seeking to mend the broader damage Aduke visits Craig's mother at her home and they reconcile.
