It Takes Two

Dapo and Cherry have a lot of problems in their relationship as shown in It Takes Two. The story begins in a minibus. Cherry sleeps on Dapo shoulder but he wakes her and complains about makeup. They argue and she gets off. Dapo follows. Cherry comes to his house with suitcase and tells she dropped out of school. Dapo is shocked. They have bad time in bed. Cherry wants good restaurant but Dapo takes her to local canteen. She is embarrassed. Owner asks Dapo for money he owes. Area boys hail him. Cherry leaves without paying. Dapo confronts her and admits he is broke. He says she must pay for her fashion herself. Then in Lungu slum Cherry is known as Lungu Mama and is part of gang. She asks to join scam because she needs money and knows Dapo broke. Dapo pretends to be rich on phone. Kasper comes and laughs. He suggests return to fraud but Dapo wants clean life and import business. He asks for loan but Kasper offers 50 50 deal. Dapo rejects. In bed Dapo confesses his struggles and past. Cherry says they will make it. She packs to leave to parents but comes back after text. Kasper mocks Dapo. Dapo refuses fraud recruitment. Climax: masked people with gun enter house and rob Kasper. Cherry is one of them in disguise. She set up the robbery using her gang connections to get the money they need.
