Storyline

Sixteen-year-old Isio manages her mother Onome's home entirely—cooking, cleaning, and acting as her personal assistant. In Irreplaceable, she decides her mother needs a partner and discusses the idea with friends at school. Obiora, raised by his uncle Kachi from infancy after his mother left and his father mostly absent, proposes a deal: Isio becomes his girlfriend in exchange for help uniting their parents through a fake relationship. Isio refuses, splashes water on him during a confrontation, and both are suspended from school. Their parents meet to apologize and resolve the suspension, then begin spending time together. Seeing this, Isio and Obiora agree to pretend to be a couple to push their parents closer, arranging lunches and study sessions. As the teenagers maintain their act, they cook together and study. Obiora's biological father arrives for a two-day visit, drinking and smoking, and beats Obiora with a belt. Meanwhile, Isio's health deteriorates from the stress of her responsibilities and the scheme; she faints at home and is rushed to the hospital. Kachi discovers Obiora's bruises, furiously confronts the father, and strangles him before ordering him out, declaring himself Obiora's true father. At the hospital, Onome's eyes open to the extent of Isio's burden, and she breaks down in guilt. Onome and Kachi admit to the teenagers that they are now dating for real. Obiora reveals he has legally changed his last name to Kachi's, affirming Kachi as the only father he knows. The adults decide to build a life together; Kachi insists Onome move into his larger home to accommodate the children. Isio and Obiora reconcile their feelings, with Obiora admitting he cares for Isio beyond their initial deal. The two families unite, and Onome and Kachi share a romantic kiss, marking their new beginning.
