Storyline
Pastor Ubong invites Deacon George and his wife Esther to mentor newly engaged couple Bimpe and Paul, who met when her Uber failed and he proposed. At dinner, Bimpe mentions her honeymoon is already over and notices the uneasy silence between Esther and George. After the wedding, the marriage sours when Paul encourages her to keep drinking at a club, lets a stranger grope her, then gives her the silent treatment. Bimpe turns to Esther, who admits George controls her, refuses to let her work, cheats on her, and has kept malice for months. Bimpe convinces Esther to enter a cooking competition and turns her unused Instagram page into Creative Chef. Esther's videos gain thousands of likes and she reaches the finals, but George grows suspicious and demands she change her number and cut people off. She refuses, and he wakes her in the night to confess that a young woman named Ivy is pregnant by him and threatening to ruin his life. Esther is devastated but refuses to go away. At church, Ivy approaches Esther as a fan, then threatens to expose her affair with George to the pastor. Esther confronts George, calls him a hypocrite, and reminds him she never signed up for polygamy. At the finals, Ivy drives Esther to the venue, and Esther wins with 37 out of 40 and a trip to Italy. George apologizes, says Ivy's uncle is the commissioner of police and her brothers are military officers, and begs Esther not to leave him. Esther pulls her hand away, walks out, and leaves George crying on the sofa. Later, Esther and Bimpe share a drink, Esther thanks Bimpe and will travel to Italy before the kids return to school to decide on her marriage. Bimpe says Pastor Ubong counseled her and Paul, they are starting therapy, but she will leave if things do not change. They toast to winning and to women who refuse to let themselves be destroyed.
