Her Desire

Maggie feels neglected in her marriage to Raymond, who is always busy with work. She cancels a planned trip because of health issues and stays home. Raymond suggests they try for a baby, but his work consumes him again. His cousin Williams arrives to stay with them, ostensibly to help with Maggie's struggling clothing store. Raymond keeps prioritizing work, and Maggie grows lonelier. On her birthday, Raymond misses the celebration entirely, and Maggie is left alone with Williams. Williams and Maggie share wine and conversation, and he tells her she is beautiful and that he sees her. Their bond deepens into a kiss, and Maggie initially resists before giving in to the affair. After she discovers Raymond's medication for silent heart attacks, Maggie is overcome with guilt and tries to end the relationship. She insists she loves her husband. Williams refuses to let go, declares his love, and continues to pursue her. Another woman sees them kissing. Raymond discovers the affair and confronts Maggie and Williams in a furious outburst, and he accuses her of betrayal with his own cousin. As he rages about his sacrifices, he clutches his chest and collapses. Maggie rushes to him in panic, but Raymond dies from the heart attack. Maggie, overwhelmed with grief and guilt, struggles because she believes she failed her husband and family. She relocates to the United States after the burial to start a new life and leaves Williams and her past behind.
