Falling Again

Laura, a single mother and interior decorator, juggles raising her son Cameron with running her own design firm. Her friend and business partner Coco encourages her to accept a high-paying project from Chike Justin, a wealthy man newly returned to Nigeria. Laura recognizes Chike immediately—he is the man who left her years ago after she became pregnant, urging an abortion she refused. Still wounded, she chooses not to reveal that Cameron is his son, but financial constraints leave her little choice but to work for him. As Laura decorates Chike's home, their old chemistry rekindles. Chike pursues her romantically, but Laura resists, assuming he is married and still a player. Meanwhile, Chike learns from his friend Titi that Laura has a son and eventually deduces the boy is his. He confronts Laura, who admits the truth—she never had the abortion he suggested. Chike demands to be part of his son's life and professes his love. Laura's aunt, Aunty Ronke, mediates, revealing Laura's fear of becoming a mistress like her own mother. Chike insists he is not married and that his feelings are genuine. After heated arguments, Chike breaks through Laura's defenses by demonstrating his commitment to both her and Cameron. In a tender moment, he takes her hands, declares he wants to be a father to Cameron and her man, and says, "Let's try this again." They share a kiss, and the film ends with their reconciliation and the promise of a new beginning together.
