Dark Secret

Anita sits in a therapist's office, her voice trembling as she tries to recount what happened, but the memories are too raw. The story rewinds to her family home, where her sister Sandra weeps because their father's goods have been seized, leaving them in debt. Their father reveals a desperate solution: the creditor David will forgive the debt and invest in the business if he marries Sandra. Anita vehemently opposes, arguing Sandra is too young and should be in school. But Sandra meets David, charmed by his money and promises, and agrees.
