The surge brings enough cash for school fees, so they fabricate a separation statement that spikes followers and lands Dede a solo brand offer. Lolly, furious at being sidelined, begins plotting a fake kidnapping to reclaim the spotlight. Later, journalist Tade, who previously interviewed Dede, grows suspicious and begins investigating the staged drama. She confronts Dede with the legal implications of femicide narratives, and the police refuse to open a case before forty‑eight hours.
