Cake centers on Tomiwa Akinlolu, a passionate and highly talented artisan baker who relocates and opens a vibrant new bakery named "Cakey Bakey". Driven by a deathbed prophecy from his mother—who claimed he would find his true soulmate within the walls of his shop—Tomiwa makes a solemn promise on New Year's Eve to find a wife and settle down before the year concludes.The very next morning, on New Year's Day, a stunning woman named Chalya Walshak walks through the doors as Cakey Bakey's inaugural customer.
