Precious, once accustomed to hardship, now enjoys the comforts of marriage to Fabian, a wealthy man who adores her. Their expectation of a child brings the need for a maid, and her old friend Jennifer, trapped in a joyless marriage to Eric, volunteers to help hire one. Unbeknownst to them, the chosen maid, Zita, arrives with ambitions that extend far beyond housework, eyeing the master bedroom as her target and setting in motion the Beginning Of The End of their tranquil life. Meanwhile, Jennifer's own household festers with neglect and cruelty; she berates her housemaid Agatha mercilessly, while her husband Eric grows protective of the mistreated girl.
