Monica works as a public relations executive and shares a loving marriage with her devoted husband Wilson and their young daughter Mira. On their thirteenth anniversary Wilson surprises Monica with a request for a week off to celebrate alone but a car accident kills both Wilson and Mira while Monica waits at home alone. The news collapses her into inconsolable grief that deepens over the following month until she rejects faith and abuses anxiety medication before attempting to hang herself with a jump rope. Her friend Juliet intervenes to save her and arranges admission to the Olive Rehabilitation Centre where the therapist Chinneylove Eze Ogunje lost her own husband and three children in a similar crash. Flashbacks during therapy reveal Monica's childhood trauma when Pastor Elvis raped her as a teenager and her parents refused to believe her forcing her to carry the pregnancy to term. When the baby was born they claimed the child died but secretly gave the infant Savannah to Monica's mother to raise. Monica's adult tragedy compounds this buried wound and drives her to a psychiatric breakdown that therapy begins to address. Monica's parents arrive at the centre seeking forgiveness and reveal that Savannah is alive which ignites a volatile confrontation but also opens a path toward truth. Monica meets Savannah, a young woman with a passion for fashion who bears a striking resemblance to her, and the three women embrace a fragile reconciliation. She begins to accept that her survival has purpose to nurture the daughter she thought lost and to help others through her pain. Together Monica Savannah and her mother walk into a building.
