A Mother's Love

On a busy street, Juliet, a fruit vendor carrying her baby Jesse on her back, picks up a purse dropped by Chioma, who had just left a cab. Chioma accuses Juliet of stealing $500, and a security guard detains her until Alex intervenes, believing Juliet's innocence. Later, at home, Chioma—revealed as Alex's fiancée—argues with him for releasing the 'thief,' but he dismisses her. The next day, a cab driver returns the lost money, revealing Chioma had left it in the cab. Feeling guilty, Chioma seeks out Juliet to apologize and offers her a job as house help, which Juliet accepts for Jesse's sake. Juliet moves into Alex and Chioma's home, where Alex bonds with Jesse, much to Chioma's growing jealousy. Chioma becomes increasingly suspicious after announcing her own pregnancy, hoping to secure her relationship. Her jealousy leads her to plant missing money under Juliet's pillow to frame her. Devastated, Alex kicks both out and visits Juliet to apologize, admitting he misses her and Jesse. Juliet hesitates, but her friend Martha encourages her to accept for Jesse's sake.
