PERSONAL LIFE

Chioma Nwosu is single (unmarried) and keeps her romantic relationships private. She comes from a close-knit Igbo family; her father, Chief Chima Michael Nwosu, passed away in 2022. She lives in Lagos and is described as naturally light-skinned with a gap-toothed smile. She is not related to colleague Ngozi Nwosu.

EARLY LIFE

Chioma Nwosu was born on May 31, 1979, in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria, into a family of nine (parents and seven children — four sons and three daughters). She is the second daughter. She attended primary school in Lagos and secondary school at Federal Government Girls College Owerri (class of 1995). She later studied Data Processing at a computer school before pursuing law at university.

CAREER

Chioma Nwosu began her acting journey in 1999 while at university, starting with stage acting in Optimom Arts Konsotiom. She featured in the soap opera Zenith in 2001 and landed her first movie role as an undergraduate (playing Sola Fosudo’s wife). After graduation, she worked as a banker for three years before fully committing to acting. She has featured in over 300 Nollywood movies, often in supporting or character roles such as mother, wife, lawyer, or aunty. Notable credits include, Mr & Mrs (2012) — played a lawyer (breakout role), Home Alone (2017), Home Teacher (2017), Disguise (2018), Size 12 (2019) — played Ijeoma, Dark Choice (2026), Ashes Of Greed (2026). She is a regular in the Emma Chinedum Comedy series (Mr Aloy), playing characters like Mama Vivian and Madam Stella. She has also worked as a scriptwriter and production manager. Beyond acting, she is the founder of Olamma Cares Foundation (a mental health NGO that has impacted over 8,000 lives).
