Ashes Of Greed

A poor mother named Awele lives in a dirty compound with her daughters Ada and Cynthia. Ada finished university and NYSC but no job, so family suffers. Awele wants Ada to be surrogate mother for rich Ambassador Dagana, who offers 50 million Naira. Ada refuses, says it's wrong to sell body. Flashback shows Dagana stop by while they sell fruits, give offer and phone number. Awele angry, turns to Cynthia who agrees fast to escape poverty. Ada shocked, disowns them. In the movie Ashes Of Greed, scene moves to Dagana's big house. She tells husband Jason about the girl, he warns her but she ignores. Awele calls Dagana, says Cynthia will do it. Next day, they go to estate. Ada tries to stop them in taxi, but Awele pushes her away. Cynthia fakes faint on road. Awele leaves her, runs to house for money. Cynthia wakes up, it was trick. At house, Awele gets 10 million cheque down payment. Then Cynthia bursts in, acts crazy – screams, scratches, slaps Dagana. They think she's mad, cancel deal, throw them out. Outside, Awele cries for lost money, calls Ada to blame Cynthia. Dagana says she'll find new girl. Ends with thugs seeing them, hint danger. Story shows how greed ruins lives.
