EARLY LIFE

Tomi Ojo was born on January 1, 2000, in Lagos, Nigeria. She spent the first 10 years of her life in Lagos before moving to Ibadan, Oyo State, and later returned to Lagos and then moved to Abuja. She grew up in a middle-class Christian Yoruba family. She was always curious about human behavior and learned largely through observation, self-study, and lived experiences. She had an interest in film and psychology but did not go through the formal film-school route.

CAREER

Tomi Ojo discovered her passion for acting in her late teens, studying performance by watching YouTube videos and attending auditions. In 2018, she made her acting debut in 'Back to School', a YouTube comedy series by comedian Bovi. She later joined a theatre club and gained widespread recognition for her breakout role as Rahila Bello in the Netflix series 'Far From Home'. She also gained acclaim in the Ndani TV web series 'Love Like This' and has featured in projects like 'Best Friend’s', 'The Crazy Wife', 'Sack Letter', 'Now, Always and Forever', 'Schooled', 'Leaked', and 'Ebi'. She has collaborated with notable Nollywood stars such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Bimbo Akintola, Funke Akindele, Mike Afolarin, Genoveva Umeh, and Olumide Oworu. In addition to acting, Tomi works as a commercial model and has expressed a desire to move towards stronger, more mature roles, including epic heroines, psychological thrillers, and action-driven characters, and recently worked on an epic film in December 2025.
