Witness Protection

Sophia, a civilian, observes a hitman named Poison execute a man under orders from crime boss Chief Kennedy. She flees to the police, who assign Detective Nelson to protect her. Despite his insistence on secrecy, Sophia chafes at the restrictions and calls a friend, revealing her location. That leads to an attack at the hotel, forcing Nelson to move her to his own home—a decision that complicates matters when his girlfriend, Queen, returns unexpectedly. Queen grows suspicious of Sophia's presence, and tensions mount as Poison reports to Chief Kennedy, who orders Sophia eliminated. Nelson discovers Chief Kennedy is the mastermind, and Queen is revealed to be his daughter. Confronting Chief Kennedy, Nelson refuses to cover up the crime and arrests him. Queen insists Nelson release her father; when he refuses, she ends their relationship and leaves. Sophia, now safe, thanks Nelson. He gives her a new phone and drops her off, telling her she is welcome to visit. The film closes with an aerial view of the city as credits roll.
