The film follows Derrick, an arrogant and struggling aspiring actor, who is desperate to land a major role in a production. To prepare for the audition, which requires fluency in Igbo and Pidgin, Derrick hires Susanna, a sharp-tongued, no-nonsense woman to serve as his acting coach. Their initial relationship is marked by intense antagonism, as Susanna mocks Derrick's lack of talent and his desire for a celebrity lifestyle, while Derrick struggles to assert his authority as her employer. As the training progresses, their interactions remain volatile, filled with verbal insults, physical posturing, and chaotic sessions that bleed into Derrick's domestic life with his partner, Riya. Amidst the professional tension, the pair encounters danger during a violent street robbery where both are harmed, a traumatic event that begins to humanize them to one another. Over time, their abrasive dynamic shifts into a complex, co-dependent mentorship. After finishing the rigorous training, Derrick acknowledges Susanna's genuine care for her family and her resilience, eventually compensating her with the promised sum of 2.5 million Naira. He encourages her to seek a more stable future. The narrative concludes with a comedic, unpredictable twist involving the arrival of an erratic rival actor who reveals that a lead role assignment has changed due to a previous actor's accident, highlighting the chaotic nature of the Nollywood industry.
