When The Sun Sets

In a flashback to early 2000s Abuja, a young man engages in a passionate but reckless love affair. Years later, that man, now called Obinna, lives with his wife Priscilla and their daughter Adaeze. When the Sun Sets, the family tension escalates as Obinna's mother openly ignores Priscilla during a video call and criticizes her, later his brother-in-law Pascal requests financial help. A car accident then leaves Obinna in a medically induced coma, and upon waking, he suffers amnesia. Accusing Priscilla of causing the accident, Obinna's mother forces her son to hand over his ATM card and then has Priscilla physically attacked and thrown out of the house. Isolated, Priscilla struggles while her own family mocks her of her situation. Witnessing his daughter's distress during an asthma attack, Obinna suddenly recovers his memory and realizes his mother's betrayal. After collapsing down the stairs and being rushed to the hospital, he fully regains his memory and orders his mother to leave. Reconciliation follows as Obinna apologizes to Priscilla; in a final meeting, his mother admits her wrongdoing and receives forgiveness, allowing the family to begin healing.
