Storyline
Malik runs a Lagos drug empire with the polish of a legitimate businessman, pressing his card into an old school friend's hand before moving on to another deal. At his mother's home, Banke arrives from an agency and immediately clashes with the ailing woman, refusing alcohol and rich food because of her liver condition. Impressed by that firmness, Malik starts finding reasons to be around her, offering driving lessons and pulling her into family dinners. While their bond grows, Banke quietly mourns a brother killed in drug violence, and Malik remains ignorant of her grief. Pressure arrives when a police informant undermines a major deal, forcing Malik to empty his warehouse and hide in his mother's house with a trusted lieutenant. He gifts Izzy a new car as a reward, blind to the man's agenda. After weeks of caution, Malik throws a party for his crew, and the building fills with police. Izzy reveals himself as undercover detective Israel, and Banke steps forward too, producing a badge that shatters Malik's trust. He is arrested on charges of drug trafficking, murder, and racketeering. Banke receives a three-month suspension for running the operation without authorization, but she tells her commanding officer she feels no regret, having gotten justice for her brother. Later, in a car with Israel, she confesses she blames herself for her brother's death, having prioritized the job over him. Israel offers reassurance, and she begins, slowly, to accept that she did everything she could.
