The Prince And The Thief

The movie "The Prince And The Thief" begins with Nneoma stealing medicine for her very sick brother, Ekene. To escape a crowd chasing her, she hides in Prince Olisa's car. After she gets away, she also steals his phone. She sells it to pay a hospital bill. Prince Olisa's father, the King, has vanished. The elders will not let Olisa become the new king because they think he is just a boy. Another prince, Orioke, wants the throne for himself. Olisa searches everywhere for the thief who stole his phone. He thinks it was a boy because Nneoma was dressed like one. Nneoma's brother needs a surgery that costs 3 million naira. She has no money. She hears that Prince Orioke's house has lots of money, so she gets a job there as a maid. Prince Orioke's rude son, Solomon, tries to flirt with her, but she avoids him. One day, Orioke catches Nneoma stealing money from his home. Instead of sending her to jail, Prince Orioke gives her a dangerous task. He tells her she must spy on Prince Olisa's family for him. If she does this, she will be free. If she refuses, she will be in serious trouble. To do this, she needs to get a job in Olisa's house, but there are no jobs available there. When Orioke finds out, he beats Nneoma badly. Prince Olisa finds her hurt on the street after this beating. Feeling sorry for her, he takes her into his home, not knowing she is the thief he is looking for or that she is now a spy for his enemy.
