Storyline
Burdened by existential questions, Rain lies in bed and drifts into memories of meeting Green, a photographer whose line "There's no Green without Rain" seals their romance. Their swift marriage in 'The Point Of Life' brings joy, yet Rain's wish to connect with Green's estranged father awakens old pains he is unwilling to face. Behind the closed doors of their home, Green's hidden dependency on synthetic drugs emerges, draining their finances and fracturing the trust between them. Upon discovering his relapse, Rain confronts him with fierce devotion, resolved to help him heal. Green's addiction intensifies, causing him to neglect work and gamble their rent on his next fix. Desperate, Rain seeks counsel from a friend and later from Green's father, whose bitter warning that love cannot transform an addict cuts deep. When she finds narcotics concealed on Green's body, the shock triggers a panic attack that lands her in the hospital, where doctors reveal her pregnancy. Faced with the stark choice, she decides to leave, placing her unborn child's safety above her fraying commitment. Green's tearful vows of reform sway her to grant one last chance, and they attempt to rebuild intimacy, but his withdrawal symptoms and creeping lethargy foreshadow the collapse. Following a deceptively peaceful dinner, Green retreats to their bedroom and slips into a sleep from which he never wakes, his heart surrendering to the synthetic toxins flooding his system. Rain's frantic attempts to revive him prove futile, and his death from an overdose shatters the fragile hope they had clung to. In the numbing aftermath, she lies on the couch, tears streaming as she echoes her old query about life's purpose, accepting that her love was never enough to rescue a man who could not rescue himself. Green's father's words echo as Rain gazes upward, the question unresolved as the credits roll.
