The Figurine

The story is built around a local folklore legend: whoever finds the statue of the goddess Araromire is granted seven years of prosperity and success, which is eventually followed by seven years of destruction and misery. Femi and Sola find the artifact while serving in a remote village. While Sola enjoys a meteoric rise in his professional and personal life, Femi struggles with health issues and personal turmoil. As the years pass, Sola builds a successful life with his wife, Mona, but the atmosphere in their home becomes increasingly strained by psychological tension and strange occurrences. It is eventually revealed that the "curse" was not merely supernatural, but a dark orchestration by Femi, who felt resentful and obsessed with Mona. He used his knowledge of the legend and a replica statue to manipulate the lives of his friends out of jealousy. After Femi admits to orchestrating the "curse" using a replica statue to ruin Sola and Mona's lives out of obsessive jealousy, he experiences a severe health crisis due to his asthma. In the final moments, Linda (his sister) frantically calls for help, reporting that Femi has gone unstable and that he has caused harm to those around him. The movie concludes with the aftermath of this confrontation, leaving Sola dead and the lives of the remaining characters permanently shattered by the cycle of deceit and betrayal.
