The Boy Who Harnessed The WInd

In a small village in Malawi, 13-year-old William Kamkwamba is forced to drop out of school when a terrible drought destroys his family's crops and they can no longer pay his tuition. Undeterred, William secretly visits the school library, where he discovers a physics book on wind energy. As a brutal famine threatens to starve his village, William masterminds a plan to construct an makeshift wind turbine from scrap metal and old bicycle parts. He must overcome severe community skepticism and his own father’s doubts to build a machine capable of pumping water and bringing life back to his community's parched lands.
