Storyline

The Black Soap asks a haunting question: “How well do you trust that black soap?” The story explores the traditional spiritual beliefs of South-Western Nigeria, uncovering the hidden forces, ancestral ties, and cultural beliefs surrounding traditional medicine and the symbolic ose dudu (black soap). As characters turn to these practices in search of solutions to their deepest problems, they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of the choices they make.
