Tayo Sobola, also known as Sotayo Gaga, was born on December 28, 1985, into a polygamous household in Ogun State, Nigeria, but spent her formative years in Lagos. Her late father was Christian, and her mother, Alhaja Bakare, is Muslim, leading Tayo to identify as a 'Chrislim'. As the youngest of six children, she grew up under strict maternal guidance. She attended primary and secondary schools in Lagos before earning a degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University and simultaneously obtaining a degree in Public Administration and a diploma in Law from Lagos State University.

CAREER

Sotayo's entertainment journey began with modeling, where she worked as a video vixen in music videos and as a presenter. She transitioned into acting after being introduced to the Actors Guild of Nigeria by Emeka Okoro. She has featured in both English and Yoruba Nollywood productions, including 'Moremi', 'Corper Jide', 'Idakeji Ife', 'Egan', 'Bella', and 'Arewa Onijogbon'.
