Star Struck

Andre, a popular musician, and his friend Chidi prepare for a bachelorette party where Andre is hired to perform. There, he meets Julie, the bride-to-be, and though he is initially indifferent, Julie feels an intense connection. Despite her engagement to James—a man who belittles her, controls her actions, and even dismisses her asthma attacks—Julie begins obsessively messaging Andre. Her friends Martha and Chika warn her, but she ignores them. Meanwhile, Andre's life gets complicated when a woman introduced as White Goddess claims to be pregnant by him and moves into his home, causing tension with Chidi, who manages Andre's career. James confronts Andre during a business meeting, publicly insulting Julie and her asthma. Andre, fed up, defends her by declaring his love. This sparks a change in Julie, who finally recognizes the toxicity of her relationship. She breaks off her engagement, returning James's ring, and her friends support her decision. Andre, realizing his own feelings, posts a public apology on Instagram, asking for Julie's forgiveness. Julie and Andre's paths cross again when Andre leaves a note on her car, asking her to come for a run. She does, and they reconcile on the street, embracing and kissing. The film ends with them running together, laughing, and kissing once more, signaling their commitment to a new beginning.
