Damian Okpara earns cash by impersonating classmates in exams, with his friend Steve acting as his stand-in. When Lilly Urah and her friend Alero seek Damian's help for General Physics, Steve quotes an absurd fee, driving them away. Later, Steve orchestrates a malpractice scheme that gets Lilly and Alero caught; Lilly's wealthy parents use their influence to protect her, but Steve's friend faces rustication. Mrs. Urah, discovering Damian's role, blackmails him: drop the rustication case if he tutors Lilly for a month. Damian accepts, adapting his methods after noticing Lilly's possible ADHD. He buys her gifts, which Steve misinterprets as romantic pursuit, leading to a violent fight and estrangement between the friends.
