Perfect Assistant

In Perfect Assistant, Osaze drives an Uber in Lagos, and after an unhappy passenger gives him a one-star rating, the car owner takes back the vehicle because of the damage Osaze caused. With no car and rent unpaid, his landlord throws him out, and he moves in briefly with his ex-girlfriend Sandra. He misses an interview, then gets a surprising offer to become Elena's executive assistant at Carousel Telecommunications, but Elena sacks him on sight, calling him 'Uber guy.' His friend James gets him another chance to present a web design project, and although Elena is hostile, his fresh approach wins her over and she hires him. On the job, Osaze must arrive before 8 a.m., serve coffee after Elena's morning meditation, and never interrupt her. Sandra shows up at the office and disrupts his work, but Osaze sends her away. He starts to suspect Elena's boyfriend, Destiny, of embezzling 500 million naira, and with help from a tech-savvy friend he confirms the fraud. He confronts Destiny, bluffing that the EFCC is already on the way, and Destiny panics and disappears. Elena, grateful and relieved, takes him out to celebrate, and after wine and a playful evening she makes advances in her hotel room. Osaze resists, afraid she will regret it in the morning, and leaves her to sleep. The next morning, Elena wakes with a hangover to chicken soup and paracetamol from Osaze, and their bond deepens. When her cousin Freda spots them together, Elena is flustered and introduces Osaze as only her personal assistant. Feeling publicly rejected, Osaze announces he is quitting and starts packing his desk. Elena follows him and, in front of Esther and the whole office, confesses she loves him and is sorry for hiding their relationship. They kiss, and Osaze agrees to stay. Elena stops hiding their relationship from her family and colleagues, and Osaze continues as her assistant, now also her partner.
