Seun Akindele

EARLY LIFE

Seun Akindele was born on 7 October 1978. He is a native of Ekiti State but grew up in Jos, the capital of Plateau State. He is one of several siblings. He attended Air Force Military Secondary School in Jos. He later studied at Lagos State University, where he earned a degree in History and International Relations. Limited public details are available about his parents’ names in core biographical sources, though one report identified his father as Pastor Samuel Ishola Akindele (who passed away in 2022).

CAREER

Akindele began his acting career in 2005 after participating in the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) talent search, where he performed strongly. He made early appearances in films such as Different World (2006) and continued building credits through the late 2000s and 2010s. He won the Most Promising Actor award at the 2011 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards. He received further nominations, including for Best Kiss in a Movie (alongside Yvonne Jegede for The Ex in 2015) and Best Supporting Actor (for Miss Taken and later Greyish at BON 2021). He has also been associated with recognition at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA). PERSONAL LIFE

Akindele married Toun Akindele in 2016. The couple has publicly celebrated wedding anniversaries. He practices Christianity and maintains a relatively private family life while remaining active in the industry.

Akindele has maintained steady visibility in Nollywood through a wide range of characters and collaborations. He continues to appear in both theatrical and streaming projects.
