Chioma Obi-Yomi was born on 11 May into a Christian Igbo family. She hails from Owerri in Imo State, southeastern Nigeria. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Obi and has a brother named Tochukwu Obi. She attended Federal Government Girls College, Owerri, for her secondary education. She later studied Chemistry at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), where she graduated.

Chioma Obi-Yomi is a Nigerian Nollywood actress, TV host, and entrepreneur. She has been active in the industry for over a decade and is recognized for her versatile performances. She is also the CEO and Creative Director of Driyoma Makeovers (Driyoma Boutique and Makeup Studio), a business focused on makeup, beauty, and related services. She gained attention for her commitment to roles, including shaving her head in October 2019 to portray a cancer patient in the film Love is Not Enough, where she acted alongside Kenneth Okolie, Oge Okoye, and Harry B. Anyanwu.
