David and Samantha's argument escalates when he insults her, prompting a slap that ends their relationship. Samantha flees in tears to her sister Ifunaya, who vows revenge after hearing the painful details. Ifunaya begins a targeted harassment: she steals David's wallet during a date with another woman, sends him threatening notes, and even disguises herself as his abandoned wife to slap him in public. She spikes his drink and leaves a fake HIV-positive note, terrifying him. David, shaken, confides in a friend, unaware that his tormentor is the seemingly sympathetic woman who later approaches him. Ifunaya, under a false identity, starts dating David, and he falls deeply in love with her. On David's birthday, Ifunaya organizes a dinner party. Samantha arrives, and tension mounts as she subtly exposes Ifunaya's lies. When David proposes to Ifunaya, Samantha reveals the truth: Ifunaya is her sister and the mastermind behind the harassment. David, devastated, orders everyone out. Ifunaya admits she fell in love with David, but Samantha claims victory. The sisters argue bitterly. Weeks pass. Ifunaya sends repeated apology notes to David, and Samantha apologizes to Ifunaya for her part in the scheme. David eventually meets Ifunaya in his office, confessing he read all her notes and accepts her apology. He says she is the best thing that happened to him and asks to start afresh, implying a reconciliation.
