Ogunmolagbe

Deep in the bush, warrior Ogunmolagbe finds a woman unconscious and carries her to his home. His sister Morenike tends to her, and the woman, Omooran, speaks of being banished from Kehinde village for bringing misfortune. Ogunmolagbe renames her Ariyike, promising her safety, and tenderness grows between them. Meanwhile, Morenike stirs the jealousy of Adesua, a woman who burns for Ogunmolagbe, offering to help her win him in exchange for food. When envoys from Kehinde come to reclaim Ariyike, Ogunmolagbe drives them away with his power. The matter reaches the king of Ayedun, who allows Ariyike to stay after Ogunmolagbe pledges his life for her. Prince Adeniyi returns from abroad and becomes enchanted with Ariyike. They meet in secret, but Adesua reveals the affair to Ogunmolagbe. At the palace, the king orders Ariyike to choose between the two men, and she picks the prince. Rage boils in Ogunmolagbe's blood, and he curses the village. Illness and chaos sweep Ayedun; the prince falls gravely ill. The oracle declares the curse a punishment for wronging Ogunmolagbe. The king and prince, along with the chiefs, humble themselves before Ogunmolagbe, begging forgiveness. He forgives them and lifts the curse, but his eyes are cold when he faces Ariyike. He rejects her, and the king banishes her from the village. Morenike later admits her jealousy, and Ogunmolagbe sends her away too. Peace returns to Ayedun, but the land remembers the weight of Ogunmolagbe's wrath. The warrior stands alone, his heart sealed, and the village breathes again under the weight of lessons learned and bonds broken.
