Nduka finishes clearing Mazi Odiafo's farmland and asks for payment. Mazi refuses, claiming he must inspect first, then dismisses Nduka with cruel words. Nduka returns home to his wife Cleaney, distraught over unpaid school fees. She comforts him, but his shame deepens. He hugs his children, promising to make things right, but cannot eat. Cleaney feeds him, urging hope. At the royal palace, Mazi Ukategwu, secretary of the Ozo Council, confronts King Igwe Ferdinand Obidike. The council demands the king bring back his exiled wife within 21 days or face consequences. The king retorts, questioning Ukategwu's authority, accusing him of brainwashing the council, and calling him a liar. The king's defiance hangs in the air as the episode ends.
