Storyline
A chance encounter in the forest ignites a romance between Prince Ifeadi and Jachima in MARRIED TO THE CROWN, but their happiness is short-lived when the king, acting on a priest's prophecy that his days are numbered, commands Ifeadi to marry within two market days. Before this can happen, the king dies, and Ifeadi becomes ruler, promising Jachima she will be queen. However, Jachima's father goes missing, and upon his body being found, she accuses Ifeadi of murder. Threatening her and her mother, Ifeadi tries to quell her suspicions, but Jachima reveals she never loved him and only covets the throne, secretly marrying his brother Lotana while continuing to play both sides. The elders proceed with the coronation unaware of Jachima's duplicity, installing her as queen, but during the ceremony the High Priest declares that the gods reject Ifeadi for sleeping with another man's woman—Jachima, who was promised to his brother. The marriage is dissolved, and both Ifeadi and Jachima are banished from the palace, leaving the kingdom in chaos. Ifeadi falls into despair, blaming Jachima for his downfall. In a confrontation, Ifeadi attempts to hunt his brother but accidentally wounds Jachima with an arrow. As she lies near death, guilt overtakes him, and he nurses her back to health, sharing a symbolic meal that signifies reconciliation. They embrace in front of the palace attendants, and though the future of the kingdom remains uncertain, the couple is reunited.
