Loving Aduke

In Loving Aduke Aduke celebrates her birthday when Craig surprises her with a car and a party. Craig receives a call that his mother will visit from the UK in two weeks. Aduke feels insecure about her modest education and her background so she confides in her cousin Sharon and hires an eccentric etiquette tutor named Kayla. Kayla teaches her British posture and accent and tea etiquette because Aduke hopes to impress her future mother in law. The mother arrives and is openly hostile. She dismisses Aduke as a gold digger and invites Craig's ex Yvonne to stay. At a tense dinner the mother interrogates Aduke's lineage and education. Craig lies that Aduke holds a Business Management degree from Obafemi Awolowo University. Later Aduke discovers the lie and confronts Craig. Craig admits he fabricated the degree to shield her from his mother's classism. Yvonne attempts to seduce Craig but he rejects her. Aduke walks in on the encounter and Craig explains it was a setup but Aduke packs to leave. The mother and Yvonne plant the mother's missing earrings in Aduke's bag to frame her for theft. Aduke is humiliated when the earrings are found and she departs despite Craig's protests. Craig uncovers his mother and Yvonne's conspiracy. In a fiery confrontation he exposes Yvonne's infidelity with her boss and rebukes his mother for valuing wealth over love. He forcibly ejects Yvonne from the house and chases after Aduke. In a vulnerable bedroom conversation both confess their deceptions. Craig lied about her degree and Aduke hired a tutor to fake a British accent. They forgive each other and Craig vows to handle his mother. With the truth out Craig arranges a romantic proposal at Aduke's restaurant where a neon sign reads Will You Marry Me and friends surround them including Sharon and her new love interest Edem. Craig kneels and asks Aduke to be his wife. She accepts joyfully and the couple embraces as guests cheer.
