Amanda marks six years with Uche, expecting a proposal but receiving only a necklace. Her mother and friend Grace demand she leave a man who refuses to commit. When Uche offers no timeline for marriage, Amanda ends the relationship and walks away in tears. Her car breaks down, and a stranger named Newton helps her. They date quickly, and Newton wins her mother's approval with talk of marriage. At Newton's home, Amanda overhears him and his mother plotting to trap her with pregnancy so Newton can pursue another woman. She flees, devastated. Meanwhile Uche returns after therapy, revealing a childhood marked by his father's abuse and the deaths of his mother and aunt.

Storyline

Amanda celebrates her sixth anniversary with Uche and expects a proposal but receives only a necklace. Her mother and her friend Grace pressure her to end the relationship because Uche has refused to commit for six years. Amanda confronts Uche and he insists they will marry at the right time but gives no timeline. She breaks up with him and leaves his car in tears. Soon after her car breaks down and a man named Newton helps her. They begin dating and Newton speaks openly about marriage which wins her mother's approval. During a visit to Newton's home Amanda overhears Newton and his mother plotting to trap her with pregnancy so Newton can pursue another woman. Amanda leaves Newton devastated and alone. Meanwhile Uche returns after seeking therapy and reveals a traumatic childhood. His father abused his mother who died in childbirth along with their unborn sibling and his aunt also died in childbirth. Uche feared becoming his father and losing a wife to childbirth which caused his reluctance to marry. He asks Amanda for another chance. Amanda agrees to give him another chance but insists they consult a therapist first. Uche proposes again and Amanda accepts. The couple embraces signaling a reconciliation built on honesty and healing. Amanda and Uche marry and the film ends with them living happily together. Amanda's mother who was once hostile toward Uche warmly embraces him. The couple shares affectionate domestic moments and Uche supports Amanda's career while they plan their future free from the baggage of the past.
