Storyline
At Dazzle9ja, Ijeoma Eze, a sharp but chronically late editorial representative, is summoned by her boss and handed a red envelope. She must cover the weekend wedding of the daughter of the company's biggest shareholder, and when she opens it she finds the groom is David, her ex. Devastated but afraid of losing her job, she boards a flight to Warri, but the flight is cancelled due to a fuel crisis. On her best friend Dumebi's advice, she reluctantly takes a bus and immediately clashes with Segun Ademola, an annoyingly charming man, over a seat and a bottle cap. At The Grand Ivory hotel, Ijeoma and Segun discover they are staying in the same wing. The bride, Rukky, confides to Ijeoma that David wrote a strange note on an invitation card addressed to Pumpkin. Ijeoma hides that she is the intended recipient and reassures Rukky that David loves her. She interviews the couple, and Segun reveals he is Rukky's ex. At dinner, a loud guest named Ejiro categorizes wedding guests, and Segun bluntly announces that he and Ijeoma are the exes, exposing the hidden connections and causing havoc. Rukky is devastated to learn the note was meant for Ijeoma and that David lied about inviting his ex. She calls off the wedding. Ijeoma and Segun try to mend the situation. Segun pleads with Rukky through her door, and Ijeoma confesses the truth: the note was indeed for her, but David's feelings for Rukky are genuine. Forgiveness is found, and the wedding is back on. They share a kiss on the deck, and they wake up together in her room, though they did not have sex. They rush to get ready for the wedding, which goes ahead beautifully. Time passes, and Ijeoma and Segun are now a couple, dining at a restaurant. David and a visibly pregnant Rukky surprise them, teasing them about their relationship. The two couples share a warm moment, and Ijeoma and Segun toast to their happiness, playfully arguing over food as the credits roll.
