The newlyweds' fresh start in a luxurious home with marbled floors and wide windows quickly turns tense as Dominic's possessiveness surfaces. Interrogating Gina about whispered phone calls and her friend Jude, he hires a private investigator to follow her without her knowledge. Gina, sensing something off, begins to suspect Dominic's colleague Ajiri poses a threat, and starts checking his phone and tailing him to his office. When Dominic accidentally calls her Ajiri's name during a dinner argument, the couple's distrust explodes into a heated fight, each seeking solace in friends—Gina with Lana, Dominic with Terry. Gina's worst fears are confirmed when she discovers text messages on Dominic's phone detailing the private investigator's reports.
