Johnny drives a minibus through a crowded Nigerian market, and his girlfriend Bisi shares his small home and their arguments over money and intimacy. One morning Ekwutos appears at the door, a young girl with a sharp tongue who says she is his daughter and tells a story about a ten million naira lottery win. Johnny and Bisi argue over the claim until a DNA test shows a ninety nine point nine percent match, and Johnny lets her stay because he sees a chance at the money. The couple begins to treat Ekwutos well as they wait for the prize that does not exist, but she disrupts their routine with strange logic and hides Johnny's work clothes to force him to make her his bus conductor. A man calling himself a prophet promises to double Johnny's daily earnings and instead steals what little he makes. Then Baba Femi, the creditor who has waited for payment, sends men to take the bus and Johnny is left with nothing. Bisi watches the collapse and soon she is seen with another man, a quiet departure that deepens Johnny's despair. Johnny retreats to his bed and drowns his sorrows in alcohol and refuses to work. Ekwutos finds him there and reveals a maturity that surprises him, pulling out money she has secretly saved from his daily earnings and kept at a local bar. She offers the cash to settle his debts but demands interest, a shrewd negotiation that forces Johnny to face his failures as a father and a provider. The moment sharpens when Baba Femi's enforcers return and press for payment, and Johnny must confront them with Ekwutos at his side. Bisi makes her final departure during this crisis, confirming that his romantic life has collapsed along with his livelihood. Ekwutos becomes Johnny's anchor and urges him to take it easy and focus on his hustle rather than women. She returns the saved money and they reach a new understanding that she will support him as his destiny helper and he will step up as her father. On a dusty road Johnny playfully rejects his past mistakes.
