Tochi, the ambitious owner of Flavours by Tochi, arrives at her boyfriend's home with a meal and finds a pregnant woman he introduces as a caterer. Silenced by shock, she leaves and swears off relationships entirely, confiding in her friends Kiki and Dennis. They mock her, remembering she has never stayed single for more than a month, and Dennis, who runs the startup VOIIE, proposes a wager: remain unattached for one year and collect 10% of his company; fail and surrender 50% of her restaurant. Tochi signs the contract with Kiki as witness. Diving into work and therapy, Tochi confronts her compulsive need for companionship. She turns away Rasheed from aerobics and then Segun, a wealthy admirer who sends flowers, gifts, and a diamond ring, yet she insists she is not dating. When she learns Segun is actually Mr. Johnson, the investor Dennis needs but who refuses a female shareholder, she takes matters into her own hands. In a parking lot, she kisses him and asks if that counts as dating, a move that secures the investment and sends VOIIE to unicorn status. Dennis confronts her, but she explains her reasoning; to Segun she insists he heal from his past and begin hiring women, implying a possible relationship only after he changes. After the year concludes, Segun honors the original bet, admitting Tochi never technically dated anyone, and gives her a document granting 10% of VOIIE. They begin dating officially, and during a birthday celebration surrounded by friends and family, he proposes. Tochi accepts, embracing him with the certainty that she is no longer afraid to be alone. Segun teases her about the boardroom, she reminds him of her fierce independence, and the two walk away from a wall of framed photographs, ready for whatever comes next.
