George Hates Christmas

In George Hates Christmas George works as a senior executive in Lagos. He hates Christmas because his parents died six days before the holiday and his fiancée Yawande left him on Christmas Day for a billionaire investor. He drowns himself in work and makes December his busiest month. His new neighbor Christmas arrives at his door. She is an energetic interior decorator and clothing entrepreneur. George mocks her name and slams the door in her face. She later enters his office unannounced for a corporate decorating job and he fires her on the spot. Christmas's friend Fay confronts George and accuses him of cruelty. Yawande arrives from Abuja claiming she was hypnotized into leaving him and begs forgiveness. George rejects her and reveals he knows about her betrayal. A woman named Ramzy overstays her welcome at his house leading to a heated eviction. Through phone calls with a friend in the UK George admits he transferred his hatred of the holiday onto Christmas simply because of her name. George visits Christmas to apologize sincerely and brings an olive branch gift. They share a dinner where George cooks and he opens up about his parents' death and his ex's betrayal. Christmas responds with empathy and quotes that fault reveals our humanity and forgiveness reveals our greatness. Their connection deepens but Yawande makes a final attempt to seduce George and kisses him. He rebuffs her and ends their toxic cycle. George also kicks out Ramzy and asserts his boundaries. Later Christmas decorates George's house for the holidays and transforms it into a warm home. George is moved by her patience and kindness and admits he is falling in love with Christmas both the woman and the season. They exchange gifts and toast to their future together.
